Ruthie is a dark comedy writer with her Masters in Writing Film and Television from NYU Graduate Film. Her original pilot “Rainbow Ruthie” was optioned through Hoodlum Entertainment, Big Swing Productions (Kyra Sedgwick) and pitched to networks.
She co-wrote the pilot “Southfield Supernovas 4228” which went through the Gotham Lab, won the Seriesfest and SXSW Pitch-a-thon 2020 was optioned with Echo Lake Entertainment.
Ruthie’s recent half hour original pilot BABY DOWN recently won semi finalist at Cinequest, GEM Festival and placed in the Top 50 of the 2025 Launch Pad Pilot Competition.
She is writing and developing her first feature, an original ensemble pilot, and new short film.
